"Ready to Love" brings a refreshing twist to the world of dating shows. Unlike the quick-paced romance often seen on TV, this series dives into the lives of mature singles in their 30's and 40's who are in search of a long-lasting, meaningful relationship. With their own unique baggage and experiences, these individuals come together to navigate the challenges of dating, all in pursuit of finding their perfect match. From the exhilarating first encounters at the Mansion Mixer to the heart-wrenching eliminations, the journey to love is anything but smooth.
As the initial pool of men and women gather at the Mansion Mixer in Dallas, the stakes are high. Each participant must make tough decisions as they eliminate potential suitors from their dating pool. With every passing week, more individuals are sent home, leaving only the strongest connections to withstand the tests of drama, love triangles, and broken hearts. Hosted by Tommy Miles, the show encourages authenticity and vulnerability, pushing the contestants to reveal their true selves and forge deep connections.
Executive produced by Will Packer and Richard Brown of Will Packer Media, along with Jeff Spangler and Rob LaPlante of Lighthearted Entertainment, "Ready to Love" promises an engaging mix of romance and drama. From daring dating challenges to confronting past relationships, the show explores the complexities of love in a captivating and entertaining manner. Recognized as the #1 original cable series among African-American women (18+) in 2022, "Ready to Love" has captured the hearts of viewers with its relatable and compelling portrayal of the pursuit of love.
I love the premises of Middle Aged couples coming together to find new partners, BUT it is totally unfair that only black people are cast. Why are white, Hispanic, Asian, people not allowed to try and find love on this show too ? Racist ? Unfair? Discrimination?
Guess you don’t believe in Afro Latinos/Latinas. The whole reason for this show was because there were no dating shows for Black ppl. We have this one show and you whining about racism? And since when is 30 year olds middle age? Y’all always want to gentrify something. Black folks are 13% of the population in the U.S, let us have a dating show!
I agree with the many writers on this platform that a cast of mature women will serve the audience well. I’m 60 years old and definitely ready to LOVE! I hope that Tommy and the production staff will entertain the idea of having us beautiful, confident, mature ladies appear on their show. We need tapings near Ohio though 🙂please and thank you!
Ready to love is a great show. It would be nice if they would have a show with the age limit 55+ It would really be appreciated. I am 61 and still looks about 35 years old or younger. I am single and would love to experience the fun of being on Ready To Love. I am not the type of person who criticize others. I think all the past cast did a wonderful job. They all tried to enjoy themselves, and tried to fit in where they fitted in. Please contact me if the age limit would increase.
Yes Karen…I’ve been saying this for a while now. I’m 57 and I look so much younger. When I’m out with my 24 yr old son. I get no attention because people think he’s my boyfriend. I would love to participate in a Ready To Love type of show for us older ladies that still look good.
I definitely feel like ready to love need to cast women that are 55+ because they are the new 40s. They’re fabulous they know what they want and they’re honest no games so ready to love, need to give the older seasoned and fabulous women a chance. Age ain’t nothing but a number. I’m 60 but you would never know…
I would love to be on ready to love. What I dont understand is why shows that are coming on are that are,on already dont think that people over 50 plus are not ready to find love. Myself personally I am pretty sure that their are others that feel the same way. Please bring Ready to Live to Dallas. Also we would appreciate if you raise the age. Some of us really don't look our age. Also already know that we are ready to love I really think you would would get some great feedback. More love connections as well.
You would have a more interesting program if you increased the age limit. Singles 55-70 are Really "Ready to Love. We have grown children, divorced, widowed, financially established or never married. However we don't have time to play around. We would love to have someone to spend our last chapter in life with as a loving. lasting partner! I live in Philadelphia. I am interested in auditioning for the first cast. Please contact me!!!! I have a lot of fabulous women friends who cant find love. We are the City of Brotherly Love. Please come to Philly!
It would be nice to see women on the show that didn't have their faces all made-up and the phony eye lashes and all that weave. What happen to the women that like the natural look. When you put all that make-up and weave on the long nails you are lying to that man on the first impression. Just keep it simple and you will have a better outcome in my opinion 😉
I love RTL ,I'm watching it everyday from South Africa.I think ladies on the show need to understand that this is a dating show and stop fighting for this men as if they are thier your husband. Allow everyone to make connections with who ever they want to, allow the process to run smoothly. Stop being possessive and demanding attention and forcing the men to commit to something they not sure of
I would like to see the Ready To Love show have some more mature couples going forward. The younger couples on the show are not really ready to commit to serious relationships. Too much silly, and immature interacting with each other. I'm suggesting couples 50+ and up. Us seasoned singles will give the show a more mature and respectful look on relationships.
I did not like the group of people on Season 7. Especially the men. They were rude and disrespectful and not ready for love. Tommy please screen your people. Focus on ages 55+ who are ready to love. People who are divorced, retired early, and looking forward to their journey in life to spend it with some one whose truly ready to love.
Season 8 does not have any good singles on show and that ugly pale old face lady thats an estestheian is older than 42. She looks like she's 60 plus! Just ugly
My concern with Shareese the esthetician is she was disrespecting the other women. If you are a true black woman you lift not bring down a black woman and you don’t bring a sister down to make yourself look good or compare. In the end, the Karma got her and she realized your skin color, weave/wig and your waist size is not the only thing that matters in life.
What about seniors 60 to 75 years I am 71 and single for 23 years we all still want someone to love still ,we are not dead ,I am still a Diva, fire in fireplace .LOL WE ARE THE BABY BOOMERS LARGEST GENERATION.HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL
Girl you're right I'm 71 also and I think I'm a very attractive diva and ready for love. Me and girlfriend had this same discussion before it's like when are there going to be a show to help active seniors find LOVE😊
Hey girl, I feel you. I am 59 years ols and single. I kniw that I dont look my age. Will Packer up the age factor for Ready to Live there are women and men out here that do not look our age. Thats still trying to find Love it shouldnt be a age limit on love. I know that im still ready to love. Just putting it out there. Single. And so much Ready to Love.
Hello my sisters, I feel what you are saying, I am 68 and still have it, nice looks cute body and I AM READY TO LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel as if there are men in my age group that are ready to meet a woman to love. Don't forget that we just went through a pandemic and there were a lot of people my age range that lost their husband or wife so we all are looking for love companionship or just someone to be with. Please do not count us out.
Ready to Love is a great show. I love watching it. Hope it stays around for a while. It's nice to see black love on the TV. Some of the dating scenes seem childish though given the age of the singles. It would be nice to see one show where the singles are seniors. Seniors need love too!...lol Can't wait for Ready to Love Miami!
I love RTL and enjoy conversing with adult daughters about the connections! I think there should be a rule that no one can eliminate himself/herself. It's starting to happen too much as well as some being disrespectful to Tommy as the host by not showing up as requested by him! That's not right. They are taking opportunity that someone else could have had. Only Tommy should eliminate in cases of dire necessity!.maybe another person can be placed if that happens. Maybe always keep an extra man left to choose a lady incase one doesn't work out." He who finds a wife finds a good thing" or maybe keep an extra woman! Hope you understand what I mean! Can hardly wait for next season to start!
I am 40 and single in New Jersey. I love watching the show because it gives me hope that there is genuine love out there somewhere. One day hopefully when God sees fit
Believe me God is not at does not sleep. I met my fiance' five years ago. I was getting work done on my home, guess who was sent? Yep, my man. I was not looking, nor was he. I was not flirting or anything like that and God sent him my way. He and I still laugh about it because I was strictly business. I was so closed off and didn't care. It was no one but God. We now watch Ready to Love together. So you're right when God sees fit he is going to send him your way, just continue doing what you're doing. The Bible says he finds you, you don't find him.
RTL is a cliffhanger that I enjoy watching, The Patomac crew not so much. It was just different not in a good way. Thank you Nephew Tommy, I appreciate you greatly. Also, is it possible to get a group from 50 to 60 or 55 to 65 please. Thank you again.
My husband and I have been enjoying the show. I would love to see a new season with the old cast members. To see are they still see each other’s or what is going on with the relationship. Had they found love.
I love watching RTL, but this crew from the Patomac was a major let down. It was like watching a bunch of kinnders. A bit embarrassing especially the reunion show. I'm excited to see the next season. Maybe a older group 50 to 60? Thank you nephew Tommy for all you do.
Ioved the show starting out. Now it seems to be fizzing out. Cast members are choosing to leave on their own and some are not showing up on dates without letting anyone know. It's as if they are not following the show rules to get through the journey. I'm not certain what is happening but as for me, the show is losing steam at an exponential rate. I love Tommy...his style and the way he "Dr. Phils" when needed. I'm older..my life is far from over...let's have a spin-off with older men and women...the forgotten generation....yes I'm a women...are there not any men my age who can be interested in that same age category? Just wondering. This would make for an interesting show...
It would be nice if they can cast the show in different states. This will keep things exciting and give a variety of singles an opportunity to find love.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO SUGGEST… that when a person’ is eliminated, don’t say, “ You’re not ready to love!” Why not say, “The person you are Ready to Love apparently is not here on this show, “ It doesn’t sound good to say that person Is Not Ready to Love …Their mate just wasn’t found on the show.
The catch phrase shouldn't always be, you're not READY TO LOVE, for everyone. Some should hear, the person that you're READY TO LOVE is not here. Because, you're not ready to love is a slap in the face, when the network didn't choose anyone that you are equally yoked with......
I completely agree! I’ve gotten into the series late, but every time someone is eliminated and they’re told they’re not ready to/for Love, I think that can be really discouraging and could make people internalize that narrative after experiencing the RTL journey.
I totally agree! I had a show idea pitch that I didn't follow through on about Senior Love? Many of my friends ( including myself) are in this age bracket looking for love. The need for love knows no age limit.
