Mrs. Sidhu Investigates Season 2 is yet to be announced by Acorn TV

Adapted from the beloved BBC 4 radio series, Mrs. Sidhu Investigates introduces us to the indomitable Mrs. Sidhu (Meera Syal, known for The Kumars at No. 42, Yesterday, and Anita and Me), a culinary virtuoso with a penchant for solving heinous crimes within the well-heeled community of Berkshire.

Having spent a lifetime as an "Indian Aunty," often overlooked by the upper echelons of society, Mrs. Sidhu has honed her investigative skills, boasting an uncanny instinct for uncovering the truth, a knack for connecting with people, and an unrelenting inquisitiveness. In the wake of her recent widowhood, she juggles her burgeoning catering business and the challenges of her wayward son, Tez (Gurjeet Singh, Ackley Bridge), all while serving up her unique brand of justice to those who believe themselves immune to the law.

Her unconventional forays into the realm of crime lead to an unofficial partnership with the world-weary DCI Burton (Craig Parkinson, recognized for Line of Duty and Grace), who reluctantly acknowledges that together, they form an unbeatable crime-fighting duo, much to the bafflement of his partner, DS Mint (Naana Agyei-Ampadu, known for Death in Paradise).

the radio series is a very similar experience. it's on the bbc and audible websites. 2x4x30minutes, from autumn 2017 and summer 2019

It was in the UK too- but without subtitles. I love Acorn because it always broadcasts with subtitles-My hearing gets worse every year

I have just binge watched the entire series- and I love it! The characters are great- and the actors do a great job with them. The last episode was particularly good- and very moving in parts.
I really hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next series.

It has been on UK tv channels- but without subtitles- which I really need. I’m hoping Acorn will broadcast it with subtitles- like the rest of their shows.🤞🤞🤞
