To me, the lead character is just a normal girl (although bright) with the arrogance, selfishness and flaws of her youth, who happens to be a lawyer. As she says herself, she likes to "win"... and her professional and private worlds basically end there, without thinking further (which is a very human trait).
As for her stalker, he does not indeed appear to be one that much, and that's probably what makes him all the more frightening and dangerous - and therefore closer to the ones we might encounter in real life.
The script is quite well written and leaves you wondering quite a few times where the truth really lies in all this.
That said a season 2 would be good just with a different storyline and different actress. Colin Morgan was great in this though!
