The upcoming action-packed spinoff, NCIS: Europe, is poised to commence production later this year. The series will chronicle Tony (Weatherly) and Ziva's (de Pablo) escapades as they navigate being on the run across the continent.
As one of CBS Studios' most prized franchises, the expansion of NCIS has been a key objective for the studio. This marks one of two newly approved NCIS offshoots this year, alongside the Young Gibbs prequel series for CBS, NCIS: Origins. Notably, it represents the second international extension of the NCIS franchise beyond the U.S., following the previously aired NCIS: Sydney on CBS in the United States.
