Despite the mature themes, they've been modified into age-appropriate content while still appealing to their very young target audience.
Where it differs from the majority of today's kid-targeted series is that most seem to prioritize the removal of anything potentially interesting or amusing to older age groups with such careful & deliberate precision, nothing with any entertainment value's leftover for anybody else.
In contrast, "Super Pups" has taken a page from the new standard of Animated Films, whose goal is to receive a low - preferably "G" - rating without completely dumbing it down, in order to entertain ALL audiences.
Bottom Line:
It's sweet, fun, silly, & spooky for ALL ages. I wouldn't add it to any recommendation lists for "Mature Audiences," but would *DEFINITELY* add it under "Families"! ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ ๐ป ๐ถ
