I wonder if the delay is pressure from Apple TV going woke on the producers of Masters of the Air. Could be some inner turmoil going on there. Hope they stick to the facts of what these men did by making the ultimate sacrifice for their country and not confuse it with todays bulll[censored] politics!

Totally agree! Hope it doesn’t go work like Teddy Lasso!
That was brutal!

[smile] Hey JoBlow totally get the Apple TV woke BS! They are owned by Disney and I’m sure they will throw in some Bud Light commercials in there.

This “woke” categorization is bull [censored]. All you facist Trump lovers can just not watch Master of the Air. , and while you are at it stay away from Disney World

Already I subscribe to more streaming services than I watch, but to see Austin Butler in Masters of the Air, I'll get an Apple + account and probably keep it (inertia) after the series is over. If they ever release it! The WGA strike, anticipated for the past year, may be why they're holding back on this new content. With the acting talent, production locale, producers and director, it's likely to be good. Hopefully soon!!!

Like everyone else who is commenting on this program -- and its overdue arrival -- I have been a bit vexed by its delay. I'm 77, but one of my dearest friends (now deceased) was a B-17 pilot who was shot down over Belgium in November, 1944, and with the help of the French Resistance somehow made his way back to England. The heroism of all these young men is beyond inspirational, and every American citizen should watch this series with reverence and appreciation. The interior of a B-17 was cramped, without heat, and essentially claustrophobic....miserable, frightening, coffin-like...a challenging environment from which to wage war relentlessly, and ultimately successfully. Incredible...

I've an awful feeling it's not going to be that good.
If Apple had any respect for its subscribers it would provide some form of release update. The signs aren't good.
Damage limitation appears to be in operation.

or they're just focusing on the quality of the TV miniseries?

Couldn’t agree more. This program has been in the development-production stage for 10 YEARS. The filming interruptions caused by Covid are long past in the rear view mirror, and surely any problems caused by a misbehaving director have been resolved. We’ve been reading about a “mid-Spring” debut since last fall. Well, Spring arrived on March 21, and today is May 8… about as mid-Spring as it gets. So…?

Went on the Masters of the Air tour in England last September. The author, Donald Miller was on the trip and told many stories about the making of the mini series. Throughly enjoyed the tour, sponsored by the WW II Museum in New Orleans and can’t wait to watch the series.

Finally. We all have been waiting for this for such a long time. Was hoping Masters of the Air would be release much earlier ( years) so the aircrew veterans could view the miniseries as a way of honoring their heroic efforts. Sadly not many of those honorable men are still alive. Our family was hoping my father could view this miniseries but sadly he passed away 2 years ago at 99 years young. He was a B-17 pilot with the 303 BG flying 31 missions with his crew. Thank you to all those brave young men and women who fought and served in WW 2.

My father was also a flyer in the Army Air Corps in WWII. Fighters not bombers, I wanted him to see this but he passed away at age 98 this Thanksgiving.

[neutral] seriously been waiting for the show since like 2016 when it started sounding like it was getting close. Never would have thought it would be another 6-7 years to come out. I have no doubt it'll be good, everything Hanks/Spielberg does in regards to WW2 is pure gold And thisll be no exception.

Well, we've been waiting for some 15 years for this show, so we'll just have to wait a little longer.

Thought for sure they would debut it on Vetrans Day late 2022, but as that date has come and gone, 23 looks more likely. Might just make more sense to cancel my AppleTV+ account and re-subscribe when they do exhibit the series. Not like there's a whole lot of ANYTHING keeping me glued to AppleTV+ to begin with. MASTERS OF THE AIR was the reason I came to begin with.

Before you get rid of your AppleTV, check out the Sydney Poitier documentary. It's really good!
