That is a real shame. This was an excellent series chronicling the true story of police corruption in a major American city. Why it wasn’t deemed worthy of a second season to follow the tale to its conclusion is totally bellying me.
The creative team of David Simon and George Pelecanos have been responsible for some outstanding work in the past, and this series has shown they haven’t lost a step. It’s HBO who’s dropping the ball, for whatever reason … I’m sure in some way - money is behind their logic, but imo they blew it.

It's a mini series. It was never meant to have a second season. Has nothing to do with HBO. It tells the story of the real life scandal of the Gun Trace Task Force in Baltimore. Once that story is told, the story is over. There is nothing to make a second season out of.
