A third series of UK drama Hope Street has been confirmed with an extended run of 15 episodes.

The drama, made by Long Story TV, is set in the fictional town of Port Devine on the Northern Ireland coast and filmed in and around County Down’s seaside town of Donaghadee. Filming will begin later this month.

Helen Munson, Commissioning Editor, BBC Daytime says: “Fans of Hope Street who are just settling into series two on BBC Daytime will be delighted to know that another series is on the way! We are excited to be working with Long Story TV again who bring so much expertise and passion into creating brilliant crime stories for our audience.”

I am a real Anglophile with a Britbox addiction. I just watched the 8 episodes of season 3 of Hope St but would like to know when the other 7 episodes will be shown. The end trailer said 2024 that's no help since we do know that 2024 has 52 weeks. I love the characters and it reminds me so much of Ballykissangel.

Absolutely loved this series. My ancestors come from Belfast NI, So loved it even more so. Finished season 2 about 20 minutes ago, here in Cape Town South Africa .... can't wait for season 3... quite a few loose ends to tie up. Hope crooked Al gets caught.

Absolutely love this show. It is miles better than than some of the dramas shown at primetime,(9pm) so not sure why its hidden away at 1.45 in the afternoon.Superb acting, good storylines, beautiful scenery. Keep up the good work and give it a decent time slot, the cast deserve better.

I wanted badly to like this show. The characters are quirky and the location is beautiful. I thought it would be Doc Martinesque. But the plot is completely ridiculous. Just make it a show about a small town police force and their lives and their local cases. STOP with the completely unbelievable story lines about under cover crooked cops and blackmail, to name just a few. And the first season relationship between Finn and Layla was so awkward. There was no build up to a relationship and absolutely no chemistry. The writers can do better. And it would be nice if Callam wasn't forced to have a befuddled look on his face in every episode.

I absolutely loved seasons one and two of Hope Street. There has to be a third season to get it all sorted! Wonderful actors, storyline, and scenery. Trifecta of a great binge worthy show.

Miss Leila being in Season 2. Fingers crossed you bring her back for Season 3. She & Finn have such natural chemistry. The mysteries are well done & I’m glad they don’t drag on. It’s fun having a new mystery every episode. Siobhan & Finn don’t have any chemistry. Find her a good man & let the 4 of them be friends. [love]

I'm surprised that BBCNI didn't order series 3 as quickly as they did 2.

Creators, network, and actors -- if you are squabbling, please work it out, You really have something good here and it would be a pity if your show died in the same way that the Israeli show Shtisel did.

The show is fantastic! It would be cruel to stop now. You have a solid audience built up. There are too many cliff hangers. Finn and Leila need to work together again. As a main character Finn needs her. In the US, we need a show like this. Beautiful scenery. we see too little of N. Ireland as a setting.

Just zipped through Season 2…love, love everything about it!!!The characters, the plot, the scenery . Layla played a sweet role but I’m happy he is finally going to work on his marriage. I know a few people want her to come back…call me old-fashioned; she should not have gotten involved with a married man. Ladies…leave married men alone!!!!

Finn’s wife had left him for someone else. He was not married when he and Leila began seeing each other. Siobhan reappeared after her cancer diagnosis. Finn and Siobhan have no chemistry.

Finn did not want his wife. The marriage had already broken down. She was [censored]ing his children' Gym teacher, that's unforgivable. And given the scandal, the first thing she did was when she returned was go and visit the lover boy. Leila was a very ethical character unlike some of the others. If Leila was white she would still be on the show. You can't have a dark Asian woman being the love interest of the lead character in an Irish show, can you?

New Hampshire USA here and would so love to see a season 3&4 !
Love Finn, & Callum is the man! Marlene’s cool , did not like her at first. Like the kids & Siobhan too. Grandma too nosy & annoying but every show has more than 1 villain! Lol
Old chief is awesome! So please bring it back , but not Leila, God no.whatever you gotta do. Maybe new love interest for Finn till the reunion of him & Siobhan! Let’s go! Great show! Thanks
