Apple TV+ is gearing up to present "The Changeling," an eight-part drama series starring and executive produced by Academy Award-nominee LaKeith Stanfield, recognized for his outstanding performances in "Atlanta," "Judas and the Black Messiah," "Sorry To Bother You," and "The Book Of Clarence." Premiering on September 8, 2023, on Apple TV+, the series will launch with its first three episodes and subsequently release one episode per week until October 13.
Adapted from Victor LaValle's acclaimed best-selling book, "The Changeling" offers a captivating fairytale for adults, merging elements of horror, a tale of parenthood, and an enthralling odyssey through an unseen side of New York City. Stanfield is joined by an exceptional cast, including Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, and special guest star Malcolm Barrett.
Penned and adapted by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel, known for her work on "Cruella," "Venom," and "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," and skillfully directed by Melina Matsoukas, acclaimed for "Queen & Slim" and "Insecure," "The Changeling" guarantees a genre-defying, mesmerizing journey. The series is a joint production between Apple Studios and Annapurna, with Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu, and Ali Krug serving as executive producers on behalf of Annapurna. Joining them are an array of talented producers, including LaKeith Stanfield, Kelly Marcel, Victor LaValle, David Knoller, Jonathan van Tulleken, and Melina Matsoukas.
