Jared Abrahamson, known for his role in "The Changeling," has been cast in a significant recurring role alongside Colin Farrell in the Max original series "The Penguin," produced by Warner Bros Television and DC Studios.
This eight-episode drama is a continuation of the Batman crime saga initiated by Matt Reeves in Warner Bros Pictures’ "The Batman" and focuses on the character portrayed by Farrell in the film. The female lead, Sofia Falcone, is played by Cristin Milioti. Details about Abrahamson’s character remain undisclosed at this time. Rhenzy Feliz also stars in the series.
Created from characters by Bob Kane with Bill Finger for DC, the show is executive produced by Reeves, Dylan Clark, Farrell, Lauren LeFranc (who also serves as showrunner), Craig Zobel (director of the first three episodes), and Bill Carraro. "The Penguin" is a production of Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions, in association with Warner Bros Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho have an overall deal. Daniel Pipski from 6th & Idaho serves as an executive producer, with Rafi Crohn as co-executive producer.
Colin Farrell has officially signed on to star in and executive produce a series spinoff of “The Batman” in which he would again play The Penguin, Variety has learned exclusively from sources.
