Despite efforts to find a new home following its cancellation by the CW, 'Walker Independence' has officially been declared dead. All attempts to secure another platform for the series have failed.
Katie Findlay, Lawrence Kao, Matt Barr, Philemon Chambers, Greg Hovanessian, and Gabriela Quezada were among the cast members. Seamus Kevin Fahey wrote the pilot teleplay from a story co-written with Anna Fricke of Pursued by a Bear. Jared Padalecki, Dan Lin, and Lindsey Liberatore of Rideback, as well as Laura Terry of Pursued by a Bear, are all executive producers. Larry Teng directed the pilot and was also an executive producer. CBS Studios produced the show.
After acquiring a majority stake in The CW last year, parent company Nexstar shifted its focus from scripted series to low-cost unscripted content, foreign acquisitions, and live sports, including LIV Golf. Recently, The CW renewed the HBO Max reality show "FBoy Island" for a third season and ordered a spinoff series called "FGirl Island."
