There will be no second season of Willow, Disney+’s live-action original series based on the 1988 fantasy film directed by Ron Howard. Willow, which picked up years after the events of the film, did not have the zeitgeist cultural impact of the original but was well received by critics, getting a 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. While the series won’t continue, Willow remains an important IP in the Lucasfilm library, so it might be revisited in the future.

They did try and make it as a gamer format in some ways they even use the term "quest" in the show and "side quest" at least once but it is not overdone to the point that a nongamer would find it annoying.
I know this is a light-hearted fantasy show that’s not trying to take itself seriously but I kinda wish it took itself a little bit more seriously. The movie had a good mix of humor and serious. The modern rock music for the end credits is fine, but I wish it wasn't used during the actual episode. Also, I hope the writers can find a balance of the modern vernacular in this classical fantasy setting if gets renewed because it was jarring most of the time.
