Kim Cattrall Not Returning To 'And Just Like That...' Season 3

Kim Cattrall is set to make an appearance in Season 2 of And Just Like That... The actress will reprise her iconic role as Samantha Jones in the Sex and the City sequel series, according to sources at Deadline.

While details about the storyline remain undisclosed, it has been revealed that Cattrall will have a brief cameo in the Season 2 finale. HBO/Max executives initiated the decision to include her character, and the scene was filmed in a car towards the end of the New York production for Season 2 in March. It is worth noting that Cattrall did not have any interactions with the cast of And Just Like That... or showrunner Michael Patrick King during this filming.

Exciting news for fans of the iconic series "Sex and the City" - the revival "And Just Like That..." is set to return with its highly anticipated Season 2 this June on HBO Max! The release comes with a thrilling teaser trailer (shown above) introducing three new cast members - Victor Garber, Oliver Hudson, and Gary Dourdon - who will undoubtedly bring a fresh new energy to the beloved show.

When the show returns, viewers will be reunited with the dynamic foursome - Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Anthony (Mario Cantone) - as they catch up on everything that's been happening in their lives since the series went on break. Expect plenty of drama, romance, and, of course, fabulous fashion as the girls navigate their way through the bustling streets of New York City.

Get ready for another round of "Sex and the City" with a new cast of characters and exciting storylines. Tune in to HBO Max this June for the much-awaited Season 2 of "And Just Like That...".

I stopped watching Season 2 at Ep 3, but I do watch "And Just Like [censored]" on youtube, they cover each episode. One only hopes that the Series will be canceled on the basis of...it's stupid.

Well, this show has officially jumped the shark. I hope it is canceled, though I stopped watching it after Charlotte and her friends started ogling a high school boy--so incredibly cringe. The writers lost their minds and Sarah Jessica Parker should be ashamed of herself.

What a waste of production money. I watched season 1 with my nose plugged. Season 2? No way. These characters lived in a time capsule for twenty years and turn up in the 21st century like complete nincompoops. This is a joke.

Chris Noth aka "Mr. Big", and furthermore Kim Cattrall were the two characters whom made the show funny and indelible, despite some of their "storylines".
In my opinion, that's why "AJLT" is an unwatchable boredom-fest without those two characters!
I couldn't even watch an entire episode!
And yet, I've viewed the entirety of the "Sex and The City" series maybe twenty times over the years! As I'm sure many "fans" of SATC have also.

concuerdo completamente contigo, por otro lado, ¿no podían hacer mas cínica e hipócrita a Miranda?, ósea ya desde la temporada uno siempre me pareció el personaje mas toxico pero en esta temporada exageraron. [confused]

I used hear everyone gush over S&TC when I was younger but didn't get into until the last two seasons, watched all of the movies, and became addicted watching the replays of the show starting from Season one..So when I heard the series coming back I was super happy, i washed it thought it was a good follow up to the series, found myself loving every Thursday (though I watched it on Fridays after work with friends) and on Monday would recap what happened with the girls from workI am happy to see its coming back for a second Season...Can't wait!

I loved S&TC, I lived that life…my friends and I were those women. I am now about to be 50 so no I’m not dancing on speaker boxes like I did in NYC’s Twilo…but I’m still rockin’ it on vacay. First few eps were painful to watch but it was like pizza.(even if it sux its still pretty good) nice to see diversity. In reality a group in NYC contains more than one minority in it. I felt the pain of losing Big so that was on point. Oh and Miranda could’ve been the one they cut out-she was ALWAYS annoying

Let's face it - it wasn't brilliant (was addicted to Sex in the City). They all seem a bit tired and there was a lack of 'energy' throughout it BUT I would have watched a second season just to see if they had warmed to their older selves a bit. PS: I wanted to strangle Steve though!

David Eigenberg was the only actor that delivered a good performance. Steve's character was thwarted, but David Eigenberg delivered the only, really moving performance.

I must agree with you about David Eigenberg’s performance in #AJLT. The character Steve put up with Miranda, loved her unconditionally, the ups and downs of everything. Things change with age. And Eigenberg captured this character precisely as he became. A middle-aged man in the precipice of growing old. I think he deserves an #Emmy and I don’t even know if he was nominated. It’s about time this long-time actor was recognized for his work.

I found the show entertaining, but not addicting. Agreed that some of the sex content was a bit unnecessarily over the top, but it is, after all, sex in the city! I looked forward to the next season, so am a bit disappointed that there won’t be one. Some of the character development made the women appear ditsy, but Carrie’s character was similar to her old self in the early shows, pretty solid. It could have been better, but I’ll miss the show.

The women all seemed to be in a time vault since the 80s and were completely unprepared when they were let out in the 2020s. What bizarre behavior. All the brains Miranda had in her earlier years had gone poof in the vault--she emerged as a complete ditz--and extremely annoying and strangely clueless.

Please reconsider bringing back this show for a Second Season!! I Love, Love, Love this show and I hope that if HBO doesn't reconsider their decision about cancelling this show that Hulu, Prime, Netflix etc. will pick it up. Please HBO Max reconsider your
crazy decision!!

Insufferable. Every stereo type and woke culture narrative shoved down your throat. The show could have dealt with so many different issues women in their 50s deal with..they all seem dumber. And the clothes...yuck.

I think the show addressed some concepts of 50 such as loss of love the pressures of the biological clock ticking. Divorce and the pressures of society and sexuality. So I truly disagree.

Fifty!!!!! These people were acting like they were in their 80s! I don't know any people in their 50s who are so clueless and unable to handle life's issues--like these characters. They became clueless. Hey, fifties are the new forties!!!

Exactly! The true fans didn't want to see all that woke stuff, it ruined the integrity of the original show. If you want to become woke don't expect your original fans to show up. It's that simple.

I liked the show because it had the same wit. My dislike comes down to Samsntha is missing, the Miranda sex scenes were way overboard, and let's face it the ladies are older and it shows. Additionally, Miranda has become a bad parent, allowing her son to have sex with his girlfriend in her house. I would like to see a second season. On the other hand, I could get rid of Direct TV Stream which gives you HBO free for a limited time. I am over streamed. [bigsmile]

This is one of the worst series I have ever seen. They turned these great characters into complete idiots who seem to have been living in a vault since the 80s. What horrible writing. The critics panned it and the ratings on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes are the lowest I have seen.
