Rory Kinnear to Play Tom Bombadil in "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power"
”The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 2 was confirmed in 2019, prior to the first season airing. The second season will continue to focus on The Stranger and his true identity (possibly avatar Gandalf?), the arrival of Sauron in Mordor and the quest of Galadriel, Elrond and Celbrimbor to prevail over Sauron.
”The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 2 will continue to explore events predating The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Showrunners J. D. Payne and Patrick McKay helm the production, with Amazon securing the TV rights in 2017. The second season shifted filming from New Zealand to the UK due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Directed by Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri, and Louise Hooper, the series features an international cast and completed filming in June 2023 amid the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike.
Confirmed returning actors and characters are Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Daniel Weyman as The Stranger, and Charles Vickers as Halbrand/Sauron. ”The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 2 will delve more into contemporary lore that will relate back to the Peter Jackson trilogy of the Lord of the Rings movies. The only confirmed departure is Joseph Mawle, playing the role of Adar, who will be replaced by Sam Hazeldine.

”The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 2Season 4 will only be available on Amazon Prime Video, which is included with an Amazon Prime membership. Prime membership costs $14.99 a month or $140 per year.
Celebrimbor, one of the more important characters of ”The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 1 and creator of the titular Rings of Power, is played by Charles Edwards. Edwards is slated to reprise his role and perhaps feature a more prominent role as the series explores the Rings of Power. Charles Edwards has an official Instagram account with a minute number of followers. According to his IMDB, he is not slated for any upcoming appearances
Morfydd Clark, playing a younger Galadriel, is scheduled for three upcoming appearances according to her IMDB page. She is to play three roles in “The Fox,” “Uncle” and to appear as Ophelia in a production of “Hamlet.” This could hint that a third season of “Rings of Power” will not be scheduled to shoot until late 2024 or 2025 at the earliest. Clark has 232,000 followers on her Instagram page.
