Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein, known for their hit series Cheap Old Houses and their massive social media following, will star in a new HGTV series premiering in spring 2024. The eight-episode season will follow the couple as they assist homebuyers in New England in purchasing and restoring their own affordable historic properties.
With Elizabeth's expertise in historic preservation and Ethan's budgeting skills, they will guide buyers through two homes of historical significance, both listed under $199,000. Joined by designer Jennifer Salvemini and architectural designer Scott Reed, they will work hands-on with the new owners to transform these forgotten properties into beautifully restored homes.
HGTV aims to build on the success of Cheap Old Houses and engage fans by allowing them to vote for the new series' title on Instagram. Fans can choose from three options: Who Wants to Buy a Cheap Old House?, Desperately Seeking a Cheap Old House, and Who's Afraid of a Cheap Old House?.
