Aussie Salvage Squad Season 5 is yet to be announced by Discovery AU

I find it inappropriate that the girls on this show wear shorts and are quite young. The men are covered up and wearing pants, which is often also for safety, yet these young (pretty) girls are paraded around in short shorts. When we consider the misogynistic culture in Australia, the mining and other Salvage or Excavating companies are often known for harassment or pressuring young women. It is also giving a message that women are there to show their bodies and be attractive to male viewers. We warn our daughters not to exploit their bodies online in Social Media due to unsavoury characters that could be a threat. There is a very big difference in attire between the men and the ‘girls’ on these shows. As a mother, this is NOT Ok!
