In an unexpected turn of events, the #1 fan-favorite series of the past year, according to a recent Rotten Tomatoes poll, is none other than Netflix's recently canceled fantasy series, Shadow and Bone. Despite its cancellation a few months ago, the show, based on Leigh Bardugo's bestselling Grishaverse novels and spanning two adventurous seasons, claimed the top spot in the poll.
Conducted from Jan. 9 to Jan. 19, the poll asked viewers to select their most beloved shows from the previous year. Shadow and Bone not only emerged as the winner but also garnered overwhelming support, with the review aggregation site noting that the result seemed evident by the end of the first day of voting. The series maintained a commanding lead throughout, finishing the poll with an impressive 54% of the vote.
