Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch returns as the host of NBC's "Weakest Link," premiering on Tuesday, April 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will also be available for streaming on Peacock the next day.
The season kicks off with a special "Days of our Lives" episode, featuring cast members Lindsay Arnold, Bryan Dattilo, Galen Gering, Tina Huang, Victoria Konefal, Martha Madison, Eric Martsolf, and Zach Tinker competing to win money for charity.
In each episode, eight strangers enter the studio and collaborate to accumulate the maximum prize money in each round. Contestants answer general knowledge questions to build chains of correct answers, with consecutive correct answers increasing the chain's value. Incorrect answers break the chain, leading contestants to start anew from the bottom of the money ladder. The top prize grows with each round, but contestants must vote to eliminate the competitor they perceive as the "Weakest Link" in the chain. The contestant with the most votes exits the game as the host utters the iconic phrase, "You are the Weakest Link. Goodbye."
Stuart Krasnow, executive producer of the original NBC run, serves in the same role and is the showrunner. Jane Lynch and Aaron Solomon are also executive producers.
