One of the best food competition shows on TV. I hope it's renewed. Top Chef and Tournament of Champions are my "go to" shows when I need to relax and take a break.
Tournament of Champions is a terrific competition. I followed it all 3 years so far and enjoyed it very much. I always DVR the episodes, just in case! I certainly hope it will be renewed for 2023. I watch pretty much all of Food Network's shows and probably know all the chefs. Of course, that's part of what makes the TOC so exciting and fun to follow. Please renew it! 1/4/2023
Love the show however stop using Nancy Silverton as a judge, she is old school and doesn’t know what’s involved in preparing the Nuevo style of cooking many of the young chefs are creating. Michael Voltagio would make a great and fair judge. And Bobby Flaw fyi this is the most challenging food competition not your TT show.
love finally getting an amazing new show on Food Network!! Adding a few new chefs in each tournament is great however I think there should be a new way to hand over the championship. Instead of letting the prior season's champion be allowed to take out another chef make it the final competition of the season. Let it be the final competition for the season.
I love the show! Not only do we get to see new chefs compete but if we travel we can try out the restaurants who were awarded money and see how they improved their business!
I am very disappointed in the judging. Brooke never used her special piece of equipment in her 1st round, Antonia didn't use hers either but nothing was said. Tiffany used her coconut opener a different way and they pointed her on it. She should have beaten darrell, he only used the legs, she utilized more. The judge in Jets last round said Brooks plate was feminine. She already ruined honest bipartial judging on the floor. I used to be a great fan, now.. It's fixed!! So wrong
I personally don't believe that there is any competition... that is not scripted in one way or another. We as viewers see to much of it. It's entertaining, and that is all. I've not seen but one chef taste every component of their food. It just magically comes together and taste absolutely wonderful. There are key words in the statements made that just about let you know what's going to happen next. I'm not shocked or disappointed, because I've believed this for quite some time. I watch more now to see fresh new ideas and ways that I can add things to my cooking experiences.
