Perry Mason's courtroom adventures have come to a temporary halt. HBO has decided not to continue the prequel series, featuring Matthew Rhys in the lead role and executive produced by Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey from Team Downey, for a third season. This announcement follows the Season 2 finale, which premiered on April 24, approximately a month and a half ago.

This was one of the most inventive series produced in years. Highly intelligent, addressing current cultural growth and challenges with a fresh face from a different era. The racism is handled honestly but with a different perspective of the prior era of the 1930s. It's honest and fresh. What a chicken * cop out decision by HBO. They have a real winner here. The way the writers handled the issue of the gay characters was so scintillating. Something many younger audiences are still not aware of how threatening it was at the time period involved. So loved the whole scent of LA in the 30s. Bring it back HBO!
