Yes, indeed! The Mandalorian Season Four has been officially confirmed by creator Jon Favreau. During an interview with French news station BFMTV, Favreau revealed that he has already written the script for the upcoming season. He emphasized the importance of crafting a cohesive and complete story, stating that he and Dave Filoni, the showrunner for Ahsoka, have meticulously mapped out the narrative.
Favreau even wrote parts of the script during the post-production phase of the previous season to ensure a seamless continuation. As the Star Wars universe expands on Disney+, Favreau acknowledged the interconnectedness of the series, alluding to future projects like Ahsoka and The Skeleton Crew that tie into The Mandalorian's storyline. The third season of the “Star Wars” series will debut on March 1 on Disney+, the Mouse House has announced. It had previously been reported that the series would debut on February 2023, but no official date had been announced prior to this.
The third season will take place following the events of “The Book of Boba Fett,” in which “Mandalorian” lead Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) was last seen reuniting with Grogu in the miniseries. The two then left Tatooine, with Mando heading to the planet Mandalore to restore his honor and become a Mandalorian again. In a teaser released in September, Mando faces off against several armored warriors in their homeworld.

Disney+ is developing a live-action television series adaptation of Eragon, based on Christopher Paolini’s popular YA book series The Inheritance Cycle. Eragon is the first book in the series.
Paolini will co-write the series and executive produce with Bert Salke executive producing via his Co-Lab 21 banner as part of his deal with Disney Television Studios. 20th Television is the studio.
In the series adaptation, a teenage boy becomes magically joined with a newly-hatched dragon. Together, they must learn what it means to be dragon and Rider as they fight in the resistance against a tyrannical king. (source: Deadline. com)
Season 3 of Disney+’s The Mandalorian will debut in February 2023, co-creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni said onstage Thursday during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim.
The EPs also brought out onstage Katee Sackhoff, saying she is returning to the series in the pivotal role of Bo-Katan Kryze. The room at the Anaheim Convention Center also got to see a teaser for Season 3. (source: Deadline. com)
It looks as if another The Mandalorian character could be getting a spinoff series on Disney+. According to That Hashtag Show, a series centered on Bo-Katan Kryze is in the works. The show would star Katee Sackoff, who voiced the character on The Clone Wars and Rebels before reprising the role when it jumped to live-action for Season 2 of The Mandalorian. No other story details were revealed, but the alleged series is set to take place after The Mandalorian's upcoming third season.
Though fans of Bo-Katan will have to wait for a more official announcement, a series centered around the Mandalorian would come with plenty of story potential and a built-in audience. What's more, THS said that Bo-Katan was meant to factor into the canceled Rangers of the New Republic series, so it could be that this new rumored show will fill that voice. (Source: CBR.com)
It appears Star Wars' Rangers of the New Republic series is truly dead. Rangers of the New Republic was announced during Disney's Investor Day presentation in December 2020. While little was known about the project at the time, it was expected to spin out of The Mandalorian.
"We'd never written any scripts or anything on that," Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy told Empire magazine. "Some of that will figure into future episodes, I'm sure, of the next iteration of Mandalorian." (Source: CBR. com)
The post-apocalyptic series has been filming in Calgary, Alberta since July and has apparently been going strong ever since. This past weekend, Neil Druckmann posted a sweet message on Twitter to mark the end of his time on set. The Last of Us is truly shaping up to be one of HBO’s biggest productions yet. According to reports, the project “well exceeds the eight figure per episode mark.” In other words, we’re talking at least $10 million per installment, and I’m sweating just thinking about all of that cash. This would put the project on par with the premium cable channel’s fantasy powerhouse Game of Thrones. Along with high-end production values, the show has also recruited some skilled stars to bring the video game characters to life.

It is unclear when or if Petro Pascal will begin filming. The actor is currently filming the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us. Of course, Pedro Pascal’s Star Wars character spent almost the entire first two seasons hiding his face behind a helmet, so Pascal working on The Last of Us in Canada certainly doesn’t mean that Mando will automatically be MIA from The Mandalorian, even if filming was to start as soon as Carl Weathers steps onto set.

"The Mandalorian star Carl Weathers confirms Season 3 will start filming within the next month and that he'll once again serve as a director. While it was once believed that The Mandalorian Season 3 would arrive late this year, it's now become clear that it likely won't hit Disney+ until sometime in 2022. Rather, this winter belongs to the spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett, which reports have described as "The Mandalorian Season 2.5."
