Unfortunately the BBC iPlayer version, which looks beautiful with HDR, is always 2-channel stereo maximum. It's the only way for us in the UK to get HDR.
If I want anything better than 2-channel stereo sound, I have to watch the SDR HD broadcast instead. For me I choose to get the HDR video and worse audio, but it would be better to get both at the same time!
