Showtime has closed the case on its drama series City on a Hill.
The premium cable outlet has canceled the show after three seasons. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the decision to bring City on a Hill to an end was quietly made some time ago, prior to an executive shakeup earlier this month that saw long-time Showtime Networks head David Nevins leave parent company Paramount Global and Paramount Media Networks chief Chris McCarthy take control of the premium outlet. His performance was particularly stellar in Season 3.
That last scene if the finale where Jackie gives that intriguing speech and then Decourcy walks into the room and stands next to him is genius.
Everyone did a stellar job for Season 3. They really pulled that show together after a rocky Season 2.
Season 3 was ALMOST as good as Season 1 was imo.
Bring on Season 4 Showtime. City on a Hill is an underrated gem.
