I would like to see some of the big name R&B groups from the early years like the Chantels, Drifters, Flamingoes, little Anthony&The Imperials, Shirelles and The Platters. These artists were popular crossover artists that were widely known and enjoyed by both the black and white audiences alike.
I love Unsung. However, I will like to suggest that some of the Unsung groups that people still swoon over are: The Independence, Edwin Hawkings,Ben E. King,The Staple Singers,Carla Thomas,The Moments, The Chi-Lites, The Originals, The Dupree’s, Tower of Power etc. some were one hit wonders but boy did they make a lasting impression of sound.
