Food Network’s Iron Chef has been around for a while and the latest adaptation of this successful cooking show – Iron Chef Showdown – kicked off its season 1 on November 8th, 2017 with a brand-new competition. Because that is what Iron Chef is all about. The culinary contest sees the chef judges Bobby Flay, Jose Garces, Michael Symon, Alex Guarnaschelli and Stephanie Izard, who herself is the winner of the Iron Chef Gauntlet series, return into the Kitchen-Stadium, where hopefuls will have to go head to head and create the most amazing dishes EVER. Hosted by foodie Alton Brown and with Mark Dacascos as chairman and Jaymee Sire as floor reporter this promises to be a very entertaining show indeed. The first episode premiered to an audience of 750,000 viewers, which kicked up a notch for the second episode, which garnered 811,000 viewers. Given the fact, that Food Network keeps riding this Iron-Chef-wave with more and more adaptations, we will almost certainly get to see Season 2 of Iron Chef Showdown, so stay tuned.
