Wow, Showtime really is a mess. Don't get me wrong I like SMILF but Showtime has canceled far better shows that were not in near free fall in the ratings department. Who decides, and on what basis, which shows stay and which shows go? It appears to be based more upon personal whims more than economics or common sense. Showtime, and this website are kidding themselves with the description "they are currently holding steady at around 0.55 million mark". Steady? The ratings were by no means steady, the ratings chart provided, if applied to any other product would certainly not be described as steady!! The trend was a STEEP dive after episodes 1 and 2 (nearly .30 million less viewers), a slight reprieve until episode 7, which apparently lost another .150+ million viewers for episode 8. And the .55 million is an average, not a holding steady. So why the bias toward this show? Who knows, I just hope it keeps going.
