Since Unusual Suspects Deadly Intent is very much a continuation of the previous show and it can be expected that the established fan base will very much tune into this “new” show, just like they did with the previous version. Unusual Suspects Deadly Intent kicked off to an audience of 1.17 Million viewers, garnering a demo rating of 0.24 in the all-important 18-49 demographic. Subsequent episodes didn’t change much at all, so at this point it very much looks like yet another successful season for ID’s Unusual Suspects now with Deadly Intent. As of today, the show boasts a strong 7.8 out of 10 stars on IMDb, which indicates a solid viewer base. So far, the network has not yet cancelled or renewed Unusual Suspects Deadly Intent for a season 2, so stay tuned!
General information and cast
The American true crime documentary series Unusual Suspects originally premiered on the Investigation Discovery Channel back in June 2010 and has since been renewed for overall nine seasons. Due to some FBI investigation last year in June, Investigation Discovery had cancelled the show after the eighth installment, but now brought it back under a “new” title Unusual Suspects Deadly Intent, which kicked off on October 4th, 2017 for its first season – however, it is simply a continuation of the previous eight seasons of the original series. The show hails from the production companies LMNO Productions and Mike Mathis Productions and is executive produced by Eric Schotz, Kathy Williamson, Robert M. Wise, Elizabeth Massie, Brian Puterman, Stacy Schneider and Diana Sperrazza.
Unusual Suspects is true crime series documenting some of the most shocking murder cases in the history of law enforcement. Some of these cases still haunt those, who were involved in the investigations to this day, as they were extremely difficult to deal with due to their brutal nature. The show also showcases how these investigations finally led to the arrest of these murderers. More often than not, the chase for the killer ended up being a cat-and-mouse game of epic proportions and the police had to tread carefully not to miss any clues.
