Created and executive produced by Rene Balcer, the American true crime drama anthology series Law & Order True Crime premiered on the network NBC on September 26th, 2017 with eight episodes for its very first season. The show is a dramatization of the real life Menendez murder case and hails from the production companies Wolf Films and Universal Television and is also executive produced by Arthur W. Forney, Peter Jankowski, Lesli Linka Glatter and the ever present Dick Wolf, who is behind the entire Law & Oder series, which originally debuted in 1990 on the same network NBC.

The star studded cast features the incredible Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Edie Falco as the defense attorney Leslie Abramson, who took on the murder case of Lyle and Erik Menendez in 1996. The two brothers were convicted for the murder of their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez. What was so shocking about this crime was the fact that this family was a wealthy family living in Beverly Hills, who seemingly had no worries at all. When it became known that the killers were the sons, the media went crazy and had almost all of America on the edge of their seats. This dramatization of the real life events goes behind the scenes and investigates untold secret and dark revelations about the supposed perfect family, the incredibly brutal murder and the decade-long trial that followed. Gus Halper, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Anthony Edwards, Julianne Nicholson, Constance Marie, Sam Jaeger and Heather Graham also star.
