Twins really are a fascinating phenomenon. Everybody knows about their secret bond they supposedly have and when you grow up together with your very own mirror image, this brother or sisterhood is certainly very special. Currently in its fifth installment, Evil Twins boasts a strong 7.1 out of 10 star overall approval rating and given the premise of the documentary, it is clear why this show has been renewed so many times already. Each one of these stories is raw, real and often disturbing and the viewers are obviously drawn to the series, at this point creating a huge fan base. So far, the network Investigation Discovery has not yet officially cancelled or renewed Evil Twins for a possible sixth installment and unless they run out of material, there is no reason why the show wouldn’t return. General information and cast
The American true crime documentary series Evil Twins originally debuted on the network Investigation Discovery on July 26th, 2012 with eight 43-minute episodes for its very first season. Since then, the show has been renewed for overall five seasons, with the latest installment kicking off on September 25th, 2017 with brand new episodes. The show hails from the production company Sirens Media and is executive produced by Pamela Deutsch, Valerie Haselton Drescher and Rebecca Toth Diefenbach.
The title Evil Twins is pretty self-explanatory as it delves deep into the mysterious world of twin siblings and these duos can turn very bad indeed. So bad, in fact, that deadly childhood pacts turn into true murder mysteries. Each episode takes the viewer behind the scenes and reveals some shocking stories about twins and how they turned from normal siblings into murderous killers. Not every crime involves both twins falling onto the bad side, but most of these cases go back to the fact that the identical facade makes it easier to cheat with their sibling’s spouse as well as stealing their identities, which could ultimately lead to a disturbing crime.
