Discovery Channel Channel Nixes Season 2 of First in Human

Narrated by The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons, the brand new reality documentary series First in Human premiered on the American Discovery Channel on August 10th, 2017 with three 84-minute episodes for its very first season. The show hails from the production company McGee Media and is executive produced by John Hoffman, Dyllan McGee, Eric Norsoph and Todd Spiewak, as well as the brilliant Jim Parsons.

Whether we like it or not – cancer is all around us and more often than not the cause for more or less sudden deaths of our loved ones. Over the last several decades, a lot has been researched and the more information we all have, the better we will all be able to fight this horrible diagnosis. First in Human tracks 4 patients for which the standard methods of medical treatment did not work. However, they aren’t giving up just yet, as they are now part of an experimental treatment at the National Institutes of Health – in short NIH – in Bethesda, Maryland. These people are literally test subjects as the brilliant and daring minds of experts try to find a cure for the big C. All the people involved, like the patients, doctors, researchers and loved ones show how medical breakthroughs of tomorrow start today.
