The brand new reality TV series The Lowe Files premiered on the American channel A&E on August 2nd, 2017 for its very first season. The show hails from the production company Critical Content and is executive produced by Tom Forman, Jon Beyer, Brad Bishop, Douglas McCallie, Frontain Bryant, Amy Savitsky, Devon Hammonds and the beautiful Rob Lowe, who is also the face of this new series, which features nine one-hour long episodes.

Rob Lowe, heartthrob of the 80s and super versatile actor for over thirty years, re-invents himself once more – this time together with his two sons Matthew and John Owen, as the trio goes investigating infamous and unsolved mysteries. The premise for this new series stems from a childhood fascination of Rob for these kinds of things from a very early age and now he takes his two boys on an adventure across country to find out more about some spooky castles and mysterious legends. All of this is done in jest with a fun attitude and the missions are deliberately amateurish. However, Lowe would still like to be taken seriously with regards to his approach to these investigations and he uses the latest in state of the art technology and most advanced monitoring equipment as well as in-depth training courses for whatever he needs to face “out there”. The show’s mysteries include an underwater alien base, an abandoned boy’s reformatory and a spooky castle.
