The brand new American comedy series What Would Diplo Do premiered on the channel Viceland on August 3rd, 2017 with five half-hour episodes for its very first season. The show hails from the production companies Matador Content and Viceland and is executive produced by Todd Lubin, Jack Turner, Brandon Dermer, (the real) Diplo, Kevin Kasatsu and James Van Der Beek, who actually plays Diplo in this comedy.
Being socially inapt is not as rare as one might think, but it is very surprising when someone in the spotlight suffers from this problem. The scripted version of Grammy winning DJ Diplo can get a whole football stadium full of people on their feet just with his music, but when it comes to actually talking to someone in person, Diplo doesn’t fare so well. The comedy features a collection of parables about life in general, but as they are seen through the eyes of Diplo.
