Talk about inspiration! Watching other people achieving the seemingly impossible or something super difficult is definitely very motivational and will undoubtedly get a lot of viewers to at least try for themselves. That alone is extremely positive and absolutely gets the thumbs up from me! The fact that the show has already been renewed for a second season pretty much says it all and the average 0,99 Million viewers per episode are a strong number. As of today, CBC has yet to announce the official premiere date for the upcoming season, which is slated to air in 2019. General information and cast
Based on the eponymous British reality TV series, which originally debuted on ITV in 2016 and is presented by the lovely Davina McCall, This Time Next Year Australia is the “Down-Under” version with the same premise and premiered on July 31st, 2017 for its very first series on Nine Network. Presented by Karl Stefanovic, the Australian television show has already been renewed for a second season, for which the casting call is out right now and will close in December this year. Quickly becoming a huge hit with the viewers worldwide, the show has been adapted in numerous other countries as well, such as Germany, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands.
Sometimes, people want to really change their lives – and by that I am talking about REAL transformations and challenges that would put the sweat on your forehead just thinking about it. Just like the original series in the UK, which is currently in its third season, This Time Next Year Australia features everyday people in Australia with huge ambitions and extraordinary goals, who literally pledge to change their lives around by “this time next year”. This could be anything from a setback, finding love and reuniting with loved ones or achieving that all-important personal goal, which could very well include a world record. Obviously, this whole year will have a lot of challenges, these people will have to face to reach their objectives, but the results will all be worth it.
