General information and cast
On July 30th, 2017 a brand new four part reality documentary series called When Nature Calls premiered on the American network Nat Geo Wild for its very first season. The show features Hammond and Carver, the founders of the company Arizona Animal Experts Inc. The former members of the Pima County Animal Control cut funding for animal capture and somewhat forced the two men into coming up with their very own idea 27 years ago.
When Nature Calls follows Hammond and Carver, plus several employees, as they catch and release all those unwanted animals found in and around people’s houses and homes. As they try to respond to around 50 calls per week during a 24-hr call out period they will come and capture anything you can think of: from the fury, scaly, winged and fanged to the stinky, small or large. Their main goal is to always ensure that they can release and rehome these animals in a distant, but safe environment. In some cases they might even rehabilitate their animals. They saw too much cruelty against animals and believe strongly in not harming a living being when they are just doing what they are supposed to do. After all – it’s not their fault that we built our backyards slap bang into their habitats!
