As of today, Netflix does not disclose any viewing figures of any of its shows and as these numbers are the deciding factors, when it comes to possible renewals or cancellations, we have not much to go on with regards to a potential renewal of the colorful anime Glitter Force Doki Doki for Season 3. However, the overall approval ratings of the Netflix Original are still holding strong with a solid 6.5 out of 10 stars on IMDb, 3/5 on Common Sense Media and 6.9/10 on MyAnimeList.net. The first and second season were released in pretty close succession, so we can safely assume that the series is doing good. So far, the streaming giant has not yet officially released any statement regarding the future of the show. Basic info and storyline
The Netflix Original and children’s anime Glitter Force Doki Doki premiered with fifteen 24-minute episodes for its very first season on August 18th, 2017. The show is a spinoff of another Netflix Original series, which is currently in its second season. Known in Japan simply as Doki Doki! PreCure, which literally translates into "Heart-Pounding! Pretty Cure", this colorful animation series is part of the successful Pretty Cure franchise, which was created by Izumi Todo and debuted in 2004 in Japan for the first time. The Netflix Original hails from the production company Toei Animation and is produced by Hiroaki Shibata. The anime has since been renewed and season 2 kicked off on November 10, 2017 with fifteen brand new 24-minute episodes.
Glitter Force Doki Doki is the story of four girls, who summon up their inner superheroes against the evil King Mercenare, who is trying to take over the magical kingdom of Splendorious. This magical kingdom is a beautiful place where everyone lives happily – until their Princess Marie Ange is taken. Now the frantic search for the Princess begins and along with it the search for more pixie girls to help fight this Mercenare.
