Season 2 of Outrageous Acts of Danger Isn’t Picked Up by Science Channel

The Science Channel is doing it again – but this time the network is amping up the suspense factor. A brand new reality documentary series called Outrageous Acts of Danger premiered on June 21st, 2017 with six half-hour episodes. The premise of this new show is based on the successful Outrageous Acts of Science, which is currently in its eighth season, but this time the science is actually and literally put to the test. The series is produced by Screentime and executive produced by Jennifer Collins and Kyle McCabe. The host, narrator and actual daredevil of this experimental show is Todd Sampson, who is very well known for his documentaries and his adventurous endeavors, like climbing Mount Everest unguided.

This time, Sampson puts actual science to the test, which at first doesn’t sound too scary at all, but true to his character, he is taking these potentially deadly experiments to an altogether much more dangerous level – hence the title of the show. Todd will test on himself, whether the law of physics actually still apply and if they are true or not and it becomes very quickly very clear that these experiments TRULY should never be tried at home. Being shot at point-blank range with an AK-47, even though he is submerged under water, doesn’t sound like fun to me, but Sampson wants to prove resistance. Another one of his epic experiments is a one-ton wrecking ball, which will be swinging right up to his face. Other feats involve 1600 degree fire, climbing a skyscraper with vacuum cleaners and attempting to fly with a few helium balloons.
