Anybody paying attention to what is really going on out there knows that America has been overcome with a true drug epidemic. What was once glorified as cool and a source of freedom is now one of the biggest problems this nation has to face. By now, the war on drugs costs the country over $1 Trillion in tax payer’s money and numbers are rising still. America’s War On Drugs depicts this incredible battle, where and how it started, its unexpected effects, and the impact on cultures and politics. The show covers the very beginnings with former president Nixon all the way to how the tragedy on September 11th was intertwined with the war on drugs as well as against terrorist.
