General information and cast
The very first season of the crime series I Am Homicide debuted on the Investigation Discovery network ID on June 14th, 2016 with six episodes and the second season premiered on June 6th, 2017 with ten brand new episodes. Hosted by the lead character Garry McFadden himself, he series is produced by Blackfin and executive produced by Alexa Conway, Pat Conway, Geno McDermott and Steve Katz.
Garry McFadden worked with the Charlotte Police Department in North Carolina for almost three decades and over the time, he has developed some unorthodox methods to solve the crimes he investigates. So far he has solved over 700 homicide cases, which gives him a 90% success rate. The television show shows in re-enacted scenes, how this veteran goes about solving these kinds of cases, which involves life threatening situations as he uses his street smarts to gather the necessary information to solve these crimes. The local residents know him very well, as his office is not in a police precinct, but in a diner and he does not shy away to talk to everyone and anyone – always looking professional in his tailored suits.
Overall ratings and a possible season 3
Already in its second season, the crime show I Am Homicide currently scores an overall rating of 6.5 out of 10 stars on IMDb and doesn’t really create a lot of hype out there. However, it was renewed for another season with four more episodes, so the numbers must have added up somehow for the network to renew the series for a second installment. As of today, Investigation Discovery has not yet made any official announcements regarding a possible third run, so stay tuned and we will keep you updated if and when the crime show I Am Homicide returns with a possible season 3 or not.
