General information and cast
On May 30th, 2017 the first season of the brand new British drama Broken premiered on BBC One with six episodes. The premiere had been postponed from its original start date May 23rd due to the Manchester Arena bombing on the 22nd May 2017 the day before. Created by screenwriter Jimmy McGovern, Broken is produced by LA Productions and executive produced by Jimmy McGovern, Colin McKeown and the incredible Sean Bean, who also stars as the main character in this drama series.
A modern and maverick catholic priest, Father Michael Kerrigan sure isn’t perfect and has some flaws of his own, but he is presiding over a large parish in the North of England and has to be confident enough to act his part as counselor, confessor and confidante for those who seem to struggle with everyday life. Sean Bean plays the role of Father Michael Kerrigan and is supported by Adrian Dunbar as Father Flaherty and Anna Friel as Christina Fitzsimmons. Phil Davis, Muna Otaru, Mark Stanley, Aisling Loftus, Paula Malcomson and Ned Dennehy also star.
