Series background
All Hail King Julien: Exiled is the sequel to the very popular American CGI-animated comedy, action and adventure children television series All Hail King Julien, which premiered on streaming giant Netflix in December 2014 and ran for 4 seasons. All Hail King Julien: Exiled continues the storyline on a slightly different angle and the first season premiered on May 12th, 2017 with a brand new set of thirteen episodes. Both series are executive produced by Mitch Watson and Bret Haaland and produced by Dreamworks Animation Television.
Originally, All Hail King Julien started off as a Madagascar franchise featuring familiar faces as well as new ones. King Julien XII was the tough, but cowardly ring-tailed lemur who kept his kingdom under strict rule and who always loves a good party. However, Julien is no longer king. He was dethroned and kicked out of his kingdom by his own brother Koto, who has taken over his crown. Julien and his friends are now fighting to get their kingdom back and to defeat Koto. Maurice, Ted, Pancho, Clover and Sage and a few new faces are all back in this sequel to the All Hail King Julien series. Danny Jacobs, Henry Winkler, Andy Richter, Kevin Michael Richardson, India de Beaufort, Betsy Sodaro, JB Blanc and Debra Wilson are the voices behind the key characters.
