The first season of the cooking competition show Kids BBQ Championship premiered on the Food Network with six episodes on May 23rd, 2016 and returned with season 2 on May 1st, 2017. The series is produced by Triage Entertainment and executive produced by Kelly Hoover Greenway. The hosts of the series are former NFL player Eddie Jackson and lifestyle expert Camila Alves during the first season and now Damaris Phillips for the second season.
Move over, husbands, boyfriends and all grill-hogging guys out there – make space for the new BBQ-ing kings and queens! In this new series Kids BBQ Championship the Food Network once more tests the incredible cooking skills of eight young contestants between 10 and 13 years old, who battle it out to win this championship as well as the grand prize of $20,000. Every new episode comes with its own unique challenge as they revolve around a special theme, such as State Fair, Cowboy Campfire and even a Hawaiian Iuau. Guest judges will determine the winner in each episode.
