Just as we predicted, the succession in which Ginormous Food is being released is as short as the featured foods are big and to cover the fall season, the Food Network released the first, second and now third season all within one year. Obviously there is a huge demand for this show to continue. The second season premiered to an audience of 0.56 Million viewers, garnering a demo rating of 0.17 in the coveted 18-49 demographic, and the third season kicked off to an even higher 0.63 Million viewers with a demo rating of 0.20, which catapulted the show into the Top 50 Cable Ratings for that particular day. The approval ratings aren’t very strong, only scoring a low 3.6 out of 10 stars on IMDb, but with rising viewing figures, this is almost irrelevant. If the trend keeps going upwards, we will almost certainly see a possible Season 4 of Ginormous Food. Stay tuned!
Basic info
The first season of the reality TV show Ginormous Food premiered on the Food Network back in January 2017 with six episodes, which ran until February 10th. Since then, the show was renewed twice and the latest installment season 3 kicked off on October 20th, 2017 with brand new episodes. The food show is hosted by foodie and comedian Josh Denny and executive produced by Libby Richman and Zak Weisfeld.
Move over McDonald’s – your super large sized meals and burger are no longer the biggest foods around! Since the documentary movie Supersize Me, people have become a little more aware of the sizes of served foods and the television series Ginormous Food is taking this idea to a whole new level, an absurd level, if you want to be honest. During his travels across the United States, Josh Denny tries out the craziest and most insane ginormous foods he can find, which include an oversized 14-pound bagel overloaded with smoked salmon or a 14 inch biscuit loaded with meaty gravy. Most of these foods are impossible to tackle by just one person, but Denny seems to at least give it a good try.
