The first season of the reality home improvement TV show Backyard Goldmine premiered on the DIY Network with nine episodes on April 25th, 2017. The series is produced by Showbizz Productions and follows Ben Sargent into people’s backyards to convert broken sheds, run down outbuildings, dilapidated barns and whatever else he can find into beautiful livable spaces.

Backyard Goldmine transforms ugly and unsightly backyard eyesores into valuable assets and beautiful rentals, turning once embarrassing buildings into a source for a second income, family retreats, studios, home offices and children’s playrooms. The host Ben Sargent approaches each case with his unconventional style, mixing natural rustic charme with eclectic design. Sargent, owner of multiple seafood restaurants, originally attended the French Culinary Institute and has hosted a cooking show, which is a slightly different area of expertise.

Ben is such a great host and does a fantastic job on all of his projects. Sure hoping it will be on again soon for a 2nd season and more.

This was or is a very good show. Backyard Goldmine is a deceptive title, does not describe the actual show unless you watch it, is it a landscaping show, or treasure hunter show, easy to notxwatch if you don’t want to see landscaping. < make sense??
You should have featured Ben Sargent talking about his season with photo slide show as back ground.
AND if you bring back the show then share Bens successful background a wee bit more.
That Matters!
Probably too late.

I really like this show. His enthusiasm and energy infuse his unusual outlook. I wish he came to my area in Kentucky. I love the shots of Vermont as well. It is one of the greenest states I have seen.

PLEASE Renew Barnyard Goldmine for a 2nd season. It's such a cool show and Ben Sargent is an amazing host. Also, Vermont is a beautiful location as is anywhere in New England.
