On April 7th, 2017 the first season of a new historical documentary series called Ancient Top 10 premiered on the History Channel with ten 40-minute episodes. Narrated by Michael Brown, the series is produced by Wild Dream Films and executive produced by Janet Midian and Ben Summers.
For obvious reasons, the History Channel is the place to go, if you want to see anything regarding our history and the history of the world in general. Now the network came up with a fun way to count down the most interesting achievements of the ancient world by creating a Top 10 list for various different categories such as ancient rulers, innovations, technologies, ships, monuments, sieges and weapons for each themed episode, in which experts explain and debate what should make it onto this list and why. Ancient Top 10 uses archive footage as well as CGI graphics from previous series to bring the ancient world to life for the audiences, so the viewers can visualize what and how things happened throughout the ages.
