The first season of the reality TV spinoff series Are You The One: Second Chances premiered on MTV on March 22nd, 2017 with eight episodes. The series is produced by Lighthearted Entertainment and executive produced by Rob LaPlante and Jeff Spangler. Second Chances is based on the original MTV series Are You The One, which premiered on January 2014 and is currently in its fifth season. The TV show is hosted by Karamo Brown in Melbourne, Australia.
The title Are You The One: Second Chances is pretty self-explanatory – as this is the show where those unsuccessful singles from some of the seasons from the original show literally get a second chance at finding true love inside the truth booth. The concept is the almost the same than the main series with 20 people competing for the big money as well as their perfect match, but this time it’s every couple for themselves instead of the whole group winning the prize money together. This time, the couples can win money by winning different missions and every week one match is sent home until the ultimate couple of second chances is crowned.
