On February 28th, 2017 the first season of the reality TV series The Partner premiered on CNBC with five brand new episodes. Produced by Machete Productions and executive produced by Marcus Lemonis, Amber Mazzola, Jim Ackerman and Luke Bauer, the show features Marcus Lemonis, who we might remember as the star of another reality TV series called The Profit, which launched back in 2013.
In this new show The Partner the entrepreneur wants to recruit – well – a partner for his business Lemonis, for which he will be auditioning ten potential candidates over the course of five episodes. The winner of this audition will receive a lucrative contract for $500,000, including equity in Lemonis’ business. The series has a lot of The Apprentice, however, here the stakes are a little higher, as the position in the business will be significantly more important. To find The Partner he envisions for his ever growing business he is sticking to the same format – a reality TV show.
