There Won’t Be Newton’s Law Series 2 on ABC (AU)

Very disappointed that this wonderful series was cancelled after the first. Great characters and lot of possible stories. I think this is a BIG mistake.

Just discovered this show in one of the cities libraries and was rather devastated to find that it had been discontinued after such a promising start. My friends and colleagues are finding this hard to believe; but I was even beginning to tolerate the infamously annoying accents.
The characters were believably quirky, inspiring just enough empathy to draw me in without destroying the relaxing effect the show created. It was like an episodic rom-com with just the slightest patina of drama. I’ve no idea why Australian ABC would cancel something so obviously filled with promise and charm… but drawing on my vast knowledge of the country, I’m assuming that one of the leads was killed by some poisonous creature☠️?

I concur with all the comments re Newton's Law.
I enjoy British and Australian comedy and drama.
Discovered the one and only season of Newton's Law in our public library in Missouri. Left us hanging with no resolution to the plot. I was disappointed that I wouldn't know the outcome.
Plotline was great and well cast. Why so many AU ABC programs canceled?! COVID, break down of
directors, economy, why? I've got to know!

Delightful and intelligent show. I just discovered it on Acorn and am feeling crushed that this fine show was cancelled after only 8 episodes. Such an idiotic loss. I expect American TV to have minimalist scripts with hokie action to occupy allotted time, but I thought the Australians would carry on the fine British custom of using their words to reveal both character clever plot. So sorry.

Why are all the good shows cancelled????

Such a shame, the characters were really developing and we couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Love Claudia Karvan she is awesome.
All the characters are great, we need more shows like this not less.
We heard about this show through word of mouth, maybe the ABC needs to find a way to get word
out and about through more widespread media.

Big mistake cancelling this charming show. You could have had a number of successful series. Look, if the fussy Doctor Blake can make it--which is like watching paint dry--this show definitely could. Such a shame. No vision from the network. Perhaps someone else will pick it up.
