If there is one thing very American on TV, then it is reality shows and reality shows with guys with guns trying to kill something. Killing Bigfoot, a new show on Destination America, premiered on February 4th, 2017. Produced by Gryphon Productions and Monster Hunters Productions Inc. (Yup! That’s real!), the executive producer, writer and director of the show is Peter von Puttkamer. Jim Byrnes hosts the show.
There is such a thing as the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization (GCBRO). And apparently, when Bigfoot shows up at your house in the middle of the night, this is who you are supposed to call. Surprisingly enough, in this organization of monster hunters there actually highly ranked people such as civil engineers, IT and corporate technology professionals, private investigators and even former cops and military veterans, not to mention a body removal specialist, who are involved. Bobby Hamilton and his friend Jim Lansdale plus a few others in their crew, set out to hunt down this evasive furry creature. Apparently, this one down south is particularly aggressive and needs to be killed. What else is new?!
