About the series
A rather dark drama documentary premiered on the 4th of January 2017 on the channel Investigation Discovery. Created, directed and produced by Christine Connor, I, Witness is produced by Xcon Productions and Lincoln Square Productions, the executive producers are Lee Beckett, Paul Jarrett and Thomas Cutler.
This very mysterious crime docu drama tells the stories of real crime cases. However, we get to hear those stories by those who actually lived through them. Most of the time we might not expect at all what we get to hear, as these witnesses tell their fate one by one. This show is surely not for the fainthearted, as those reenactments feel all the more real – knowing that they are being narrated by the victims themselves.
Viewership and renewal potential
This show is so far pretty well received and scored an overall rating of 8.1 out of 10 on IMDb and in the demographic between 18 - 49. Although there is no information available just yet, with regards to any renewal or cancellation of the new show after its first season, it is highly likely, that we will get to see more of I, Witness and that it will possibly be renewed for a season 2.
