Production info and plot
There are plenty or reality survival shows on TV, but The Wheel on the Discovery channel is slightly different. Since its premiere on January 13th, 2017, the show has seen all kinds of reactions – good and bad. The series is being produced by Brazil Production Services and executive producers are Sam Korkis, Hank Leukart, Giselle Parets and Felipe Guilhermino.
The Wheel – which is actually connected to the moon – is a wild ride for the contestants, who are being dropped in six of the most remote and gruesome areas in the South of America, where they then have to survive for 60 days. They don't know, when they will be going next or where that might be, but for the survivalists – which btw, are just normal people like you and me! – these are just two questions of many, when they land in their drop of locations with nothing but a minimalist survival backpack on their backs. Kat Dellinger, Shon Joyner, Adam Kimble, Josh Morin, Lindsay Phenix and Luke Soderling could be greeted by a snow storm or brutal heat, rugged terrain or lush rainforests, all depending on where The Wheel turns for them.
